What It Is:

  • Native cryptocurrency of Base Sepolia network

  • Same ETH used on Ethereum mainnet (testnet version)

  • Required for all gas fees (transaction costs)

  • Can be used for auction bids and platform fees

Option 1: Integrated Faucet (Recommended)

Access: Navbar → "Faucet" button

Opens in new tab

Click "Claim ETH"

Receive 0.1 testnet ETH instantly

Available in wallet immediately

Option 2: External Faucets

Current Balance:

  • View in MetaMask wallet

  • Shows in top-right of AstaVerse navbar

  • Example: 0.0845 ETH

TBASE Token

What It Is:

  • Custom ERC-20 token deployed on Base Sepolia

  • Alternative payment method to ETH

  • Only for auction bids and platform fees (not gas)

  • Equal value to ETH on testnet (1 TBASE = 1 ETH)

Important Notes:

Each auction accepts ONE currency only

  • Sellers choose ETH or TBASE when creating auction

  • Check currency before bidding

  • Cannot bid with wrong currency

Gas fees ALWAYS in ETH

  • Even if bidding with TBASE, you need ETH for gas

  • Keep minimum 0.001 ETH for transactions

  • Gas costs are separate from bid amount

Testnet Only

  • Both currencies have zero real value

  • Free to claim from faucet

  • Perfect for testing without risk
