About AstaVerse

Q: What is AstaVerse? A: AstaVerse is a decentralized auction marketplace built on Base Sepolia blockchain. It allows users to buy and sell digital assets, images, and physical goods with complete transparency, smart contract escrow protection, and instant NFT certificates.

Q: Is AstaVerse free to use? A: Browsing and bidding are free. Sellers pay a small platform fee (0.0006-0.0013 ETH) to create auctions and a 5% success fee only if the auction sells. All fees are transparent and shown upfront.

Q: Do I need cryptocurrency experience? A: Basic knowledge helps, but AstaVerse is designed to be user-friendly. You just need MetaMask wallet and testnet tokens (which are free). Our documentation provides step-by-step guides.

Q: Is this real money or testnet? A: Currently on Base Sepolia testnet - all tokens are free and have zero real value. Perfect for learning and testing without financial risk. Mainnet launch coming soon!

Q: Can I use AstaVerse on mobile? A: Yes! AstaVerse is fully responsive and works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Use MetaMask mobile app to connect your wallet.

Q: Is my data safe? A: Yes. Auction data is stored on decentralized IPFS, transactions are on blockchain, and we don't store your private keys. You maintain complete control of your wallet.

Q: Who can see my auctions? A: All auctions are public and visible to anyone browsing the platform. Blockchain transactions are also publicly viewable on Base Sepolia explorer.

Q: How do I contact support? A: Use the support links in our documentation, join our Discord/Telegram community, or report issues via the platform feedback system.

Getting Started

Q: What do I need to start using AstaVerse? A: You need:

  1. MetaMask browser extension or mobile app

  2. Wallet connected to Base Sepolia testnet

  3. Free testnet ETH and TBASE tokens (from our faucet)

  4. That's it! Start browsing or creating auctions.

Q: How do I get testnet tokens? A: Click the "Faucet" button in the navbar (desktop) or profile menu (mobile). It opens in a new tab where you can claim free ETH and TBASE instantly.

Q: What's the difference between ETH and TBASE? A:

  • ETH: Native blockchain currency, required for gas fees and can be used for bids

  • TBASE: Custom ERC-20 token, alternative payment for bids (no gas)

  • Both are free on testnet and have equal value (1:1 ratio)

Q: Do I need both currencies? A: You need ETH for gas fees always. TBASE is optional for bidding on TBASE-only auctions. We recommend having both.

Q: How do I switch to Base Sepolia network? A:

  1. Open MetaMask

  2. Click network dropdown (top)

  3. Select "Base Sepolia" (or add it manually with RPC details)

  4. Refresh AstaVerse page

Q: Why can't I connect my wallet? A: Common issues:

  • MetaMask not installed → Install from metamask.io

  • Wrong network → Switch to Base Sepolia

  • Browser issues → Try different browser or refresh

  • MetaMask locked → Unlock your wallet

Platform Features

Q: What types of auctions are available? A: Three types:

  • Image Auctions: Digital art with instant NFT minting

  • Digital Auctions: Files, documents, digital assets

  • Physical Auctions: Real-world items with shipping

Q: What is an NFT certificate? A: For image auctions, winners automatically receive an NFT (Non-Fungible Token) as blockchain proof of ownership. It's minted instantly to your wallet when the auction ends.

Q: How does escrow work? A: When you win, your payment is locked in a smart contract (escrow). Seller can't access it until you confirm delivery or the deadline passes. This protects buyers.

Q: What are delivery windows? A: Sellers set a timeframe (3-60 days) for delivery on physical/digital auctions. Buyers have this period to verify items before funds auto-release to sellers.

Q: Can I cancel a bid? A: No, bids are final and binding. Only bid if you're committed to buying. If outbid, your funds are automatically refunded.

Q: Can sellers cancel auctions? A: Sellers can end auctions early if there are no bids. Once bids are placed, auctions must run to completion or be resolved through proper channels.

Q: What happens if I'm outbid? A: Your bid is automatically refunded to your wallet within seconds. You're free to place a higher bid if you want.

Admin & Analytics

Q: Who are the admins? A: Admins are trusted addresses set in the smart contract. They can resolve disputes, view analytics, and manage platform health (but cannot access user funds).

Q: How do I become an admin? A: Admin access is restricted to platform operators for security. Contact the team if you're interested in partnership opportunities.

Q: What can I see in analytics? A: Regular users see their personal dashboards. Admins see platform-wide metrics: total volume, revenue, user leaderboards, dispute rates, and can export data to CSV.

Q: Are leaderboards public? A: Yes, user leaderboards (Top Sellers, Buyers, Spenders) are viewable in the Admin Panel's Activity tab. Only wallet addresses are shown (no personal info).

Q: Can I export my data? A: Yes! Admins can export leaderboards and analytics to CSV. Regular users can view/screenshot their dashboard data.
